Southwind Manufacturing has, since 1995, been an OEM producer of polyurethane foam and pourable elastomers. While Flexible I-Skin applications are the primary focus of our business, we do manufacture and utilize both rigid and HR formulations in our project solutions.
We also entertain FRP projects and have in-house capacity for hand-lay, chop gun, vacuum bagging, and RTM processes with a wide range of materials including Carbon Fiber. Our FRP projects are not size sensitive. Certified welding and fabrication of aluminum, SS, and steel assemblies are also available as an in-house specialty.
Our diverse customer base is inclusive of medical, automotive, sports, government (both military and civilian), marine, and aviation entities.
These, combined with a broad based presence in the Amusement Industry, serve to keep us up to date with advances in materials and processes. We are active members of ASTM and IAAPA.
Southwind designs and builds a large proportion of our customers tooling requirements. We have in-house capacity for patterns and production tools of either machined aluminum or epoxy/FRP construction and are specialists in “wrapped” textural finishes.
A reputation for straight talk, good work, timely delivery, reasonable pricing, and excellent customer assistance is our calling card. We are a job shop with capacity, but no minimums, and always relish a challenge.
